A few things before we begin.

Adults and photo permission

You must be 18 or older to use Us Before You. You must have permission to upload and use photos of every person shown for portrait generation. Do not upload photos without that permission. We ask you to confirm these rules before uploading; this is a declaration, not identity or age verification.

Synthetic portraits

Portrait outputs are synthetic interpretations based on the chosen look and, when an image provider is connected, uploaded reference photos. They are not a record of an actual photoshoot. Results may vary and may not perfectly reproduce either person’s appearance.

The current application uses demonstration portrait generation. No external image model is connected. Review the available preview before deciding to purchase.

Previews and purchases

Free previews are watermarked and limited in resolution. You choose which eligible portraits to buy. Prices are shown before Checkout, and Stripe handles payment information. Access to purchased originals depends on verified payment and successful final processing; completion is not guaranteed to be instant.

COMPANY-SPECIFIC TODO: supply the cancellation/refund policy, tax and consumer disclosures, what happens when final processing fails, and applicable statutory rights. This text does not waive or replace those rights.

Your photos and deletion

Uploaded photos are used to generate portraits and are privately stored. Analytics must never receive your photos. See the privacy page for the implemented deletion flow and current retention configuration. Download anything you wish to keep before requesting deletion; erased photos cannot be recovered through the application.

Remaining legal details

COMPANY-SPECIFIC TODO: supply the company identity, registered address, governing law/jurisdiction, support contact, portrait usage license, dispute process, and any required liability or service terms. No legal guarantees of compliance, likeness, ownership, or availability are made by this draft.

Current retention configuration

Automatic expiry cleanup is not enabled. When enabled, it requests photo removal 30 days after the private session expires. Customer deletion requests can be made independently.

Accounting records: no automatic purge period configured. Processed webhook receipts: no automatic purge period configured. These are operational settings, not statements of a legal requirement.

Payment-related email addresses are currently retained for company review of accounting/support obligations. Payment and fraud-retention holds may prevent automatic record removal.
